About Us

“The Loyales were the best wedding band ever because they weren’t a wedding band. They were just a really great band.”
-Joel Stein, Time Magazine

The Loyales

About The Loyales

Brooklyn cover band The Loyales, is the kind of good time dance band they don’t make anymore.  They’re a rootsy, juke-joint kind of party band, and they can customize their set list around your musical tastes.

They can go in virtually any musical direction – from soul, to classic rock, to pop, and even rare funk.  Shunning the usual, obvious song choices, The Loyales cover tons of classics that get everyone dancing, while staying away from the songs being played by every other wedding band.

The Loyales have played multiple events for Daily Candy, the NYC Food & Wine Fest, and backed Chef Tom Colicchio of Top Chef on Martha Stewart’s radio show, as well as for the opening of one of Tom’s venues in NYC.

Musician Credentials:

Milton himself has played with Norah Jones, Al Kooper, Joan Osborne, James Hunter, Shelby Lynne, & Steve Earle.  He also wrote the score for an HBO movie.

Julia can often be heard singing songs for the show 30 Rock. She won an Independent music award for best female vocalist and she’s sung harmony with Michael McDonald.

Bass player, Jeff has played and recorded with Bette Midler, Tanya Tucker, Air Supply, and Rick Springfield to name a few. He’s also is well known for the records he has produced going back to the 80’s.

Keyboardist Bennett has performed original music in the United States, the Caribbean, South and Central America, Central and South Asia and throughout Europe.  He has been a featured performer with jazz stars Wallace Roney, Keb Mo, Robben Ford, Kurt Elling, Rufus Reid, Bill Stewart, Billy Hart, Albert “Tootie” Heath, Ndugu Chancler and Yosvany Terry among others.  Paster has done three international tours as part of the prestigious US State Dept. The Rhythm Road: American Music Abroad program.  He’s also a senior faculty member at the Stanford Jazz Workshop at Stanford University.

Lead guitarist Martin started playing high society balls at Oxford University before bringing the good times to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and weddings in Barcelona and throughout England. After moving to the US, he’s played weddings up and down the East Coast and parties as far south as Mexico.  He’s appeared on the BBC and Channel 4 (in the UK), CBS, HBO, NPR, Sirius, and local radio stations such as WFUV, with recording credits either side of the Atlantic spanning decades.

Drummer Ben’s music is on “Wedding Crashers”, “The OC”, & “Fast Food Nation”, among other movies and TV shows.  Ben plays with Reigning Sound, Lee Fields and The Expressions, The Jay Vons and leads the band Robbers on High Street, and he’s played countless shows, tours and sessions.

Raves:

Best wedding band ever!!!  We spent our entire evening on the dance floor along with everyone else!
-Eliza

Six years later, people are still talking about the fabulous music at our wedding party.  Milton and his band The Loyales played and sang their hearts out to Johnny Cash, the Beatles, Etta James, Prince, James Brown, and more.  No one could resist the urge to get up and dance.  Thank you, thank you, thank you to all!
-Claire

I can unreservedly say that having The Loyales perform at our wedding was a lasting highlight. Not only did the band perform countless songs from their reserves, they played personal requests that truly “made the night”.
